there are a lot of pieces to assemble. very time consuming. I assembled it by myself on the kitchen table. it took about 5 days. mainly because I took a lot of breaks. when I hung it it was very heavy and no way to do it without a lot of help. I would say 4 people holding it and one to hook it up and secure it. I solved that by using 4 hooks attached to beams in the ceiling. I attached ratcheting ties to the hooks and to the light evenly spaced. one person helped me to raise it to where I wanted it. I leveled it, and the ties held it perfectly in place while I attached to the ceiling. The light is a VERY attractive, light producing addition to a really beautiful home. for the price this is a great piece of art for a light.
