Make it work
I bought this because I rent a 100 year old apartment and the main lighting over our kitchen table was a pull chain boob light. I replaced the globe it came with with a 7" shade from West Elm (the neck shape and opening also fit). It looks better at that larger diameter and without the bizarre Frankenstein neck bolts. Other companies make plastic shades at that size for cheaper, but the glass looks nicer. 8" is a better shade diameter but then it would touch the pull chain. You're welcome.
Pretty
It looks really pretty in my kitchen but it cost more than I would have paid if I’d seen it in a store. However, I did see this same fixture from other online stores and they wanted even more $$$. So 4 stars for looking pretty and costing less than the other vendors.

Looks just like the much more expensive versions and works great with good light output, but the globe feels a little fragile as it's going up compared to some other brands.
